FAQ

HOW DO I ACCESS THE HOUSE?

Acccess to the house is by boat only via Paynesville and is approximately a seven kilometres trip across Lake King/Victoria, you can also access the house via Metung, Lakes Entrance, Loch Sport or anywhere else on the lake. Guests are welcome to bring their own boats, you may also hire a day-boat from Paynesville or Metung, or a charter boat can be arranged to bring you over and drop you back at the end of your stay.

For larger groups we recommend H2O Tours & Adventures, who operate out of Paynesville. They are an extremely professional and reliable service and run boats with the large having a capcaity of 35 people plus luggage. Their vessels are available for 24 hours access to the property.

For smaller groups, longer stays or people wishing to explore the Lakes system, we highly recommend the available self drive options; Seas the Day Boat Hire and Bull's Cruisers have a range of boats available and will often offer a discount for multi-day bookings. A boat licence is not required to drive these boats.

DO YOU OFFER CATERING?

We have worked with a number of catering companies over the year. We highly recommend Michelle Boyle Private Chef who can offer a live-in or single day/night event. Her food is incredible, she is very professional and is a joy to have at the house. She very much offers a restaurant experience and takes all of the hassle out of cooking for big groups.

WHERE DO I MOOR MY BOAT?

There is a large public jetty fifty meters directly in front of the property, this is free for guest use. You can also store JetSki or other smaller vessels on the foreshore in front of the house.

WHERE DO I PARK MY CAR

Being the boating capital of Victoria, Paynesville offers large amounts on un-timed parking where people will leave their cars and set off onto the lakes. We encourage guests to park either near the Yacht Club or behind the Foodworks supermarket, or at the Motor Cruiser Club.
